Roja – this 1992 film starring Arvind Swamy and Madhu is a classic take narrated on celluloid by ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The story revolves around Rishikumar (played by Arvind) and his wife Roja (played by Madhu). Rishi gets abducted by terrorists who negotiate with the government for the release of one of the aides. Rishi doesn’t wish to get used as a tool by the terrorists and attempts to dissuade them from waging an unreasonable war. But terrorists are terrorists. They don’t care about reasoning and logic. Uri starring Vicky Kaushal, Mohit Raina, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal is one of the most beautiful patriotic films made in recent times. The film recreates the events that led to the surgical strike carried out by the Indian army on terror camps in Pakistan in retaliation to the Uri terror attack in 2016.
